My love affair with dogs started way back as a toddler and continues even now.
Larry and I have been married 36 years and have owned, rescued, or fostered litterally dozens and dozens of dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds. We have always said, "God gives us all different gifts and jobs." Well, I know we have been blessed with the gift of caring for His animals.
We have learned so much about dog behavior just by observing how our dogs interact with us and one another.
I plan on working here at the school full time after retiring from my present position. Also, I plan to head up a therapy dog group from here at the center to lift up the spirits of the elderly in nursing homes as well as hospital patients. Health care professionals recognize that a patient's interaction with a therapy dog is very beneficial to his/her well being. For now you may see me every now and then just helping out and enjoying the dogs. I love playing with the pups and encouraging their social development for the pure joy of it.
